MAKING CHRIST KNOWN
Who We Are...
We’ve been here since 1851. Before the tech companies. Before the freeways. Before Mountain View became Mountain View. And we’re still here, because faith that has lasted 175 years has something worth staying for.

SUNDAYS AT 10AM
175 Years of Faith in the Heart of the Silicon Valley.
In 1851, a small group of believers organized a congregation in what would become the city of Mountain View, California. The first Presbyterian church between San Francisco and San Jose — planting roots before the Gold Rush had faded, before the railroads, before everything that made the Bay Area what it is today.
Through every era, this church has been a place where people could bring their whole selves — their hopes, their grief, their wonder — and find community rooted in something true. In 2026, we celebrate 175 years. Not just as a milestone, but as an invitation: for you to be part of what comes next.
“When I arrived at First Presbyterian Church of Mountain View (FPCMV) in May of 2024 with a clear call from God, what emerged for me within the history of FPCMV is a story of God’s faithfulness, not only to this church but to this area. Silicon Valley is at the hinge of history right now. Isn’t it great to know that there is a loving, brilliant God who’s here? Our 175th celebration will be lots of fun, thankfulness, and rejoicing in God’s goodness. I hope you’ll join us!”
